By Tracy Ringolsby

Right-hander Ubaldo Jimenez has rejoined the Rockies after the elimination of his native Dominican Republic in the World Baseball Classic.

He is set to make his first start of the spring on Tuesday against Kansas City, Jimenez said on Saturday. Jimenez worked in relief twice before leaving for the WBC. He allowed three runs in five innings.

Jimenez worked four shutout innings for the Dominican in his lone WBC start.

Rright-handed reliever Jason Grilli, who worked 3 1/3 shutout innings for Italy in the team’s only WBC win, pitched on Saturday. It was his third appearance of the spring, the first since he returned from the WBC.
