David, sorry you feel that way. I really don't remember the exchange but I have never frowned upon bloggers. I have actually never frowned on the internet. I do, however, have a tendency to respond to emails in a tone similar to how they are written. And I do not find much sympathy for people who make strong statements or accusations and hide behind an alias.

Despite the misinformation supplied by Keith Law I actually led the movement in the BBWAA to open the group to the internet. I also think if you ask the people at Purple Row you would know that I have always been impressed with theri work.

As far as understanding what goes on at a daily newspaper, I doubt if many people who haven't worked there have an understanding, just like I don't have a real understanding of what goes on in many other businesses. It is also much easier to have all the answers without knowing all the circumstances.

As for having fallen, I don't feel like that at all. This is something I am doing because I enjoy writing about baseball, but believe me, between FSN Rocky Mountain, fosxports.com, Baseball America, MLB Network and Playboy, I've got plenty of things on my plate. Despite your hard feelings I hope you come back and visit.

I'd just like to point out how far the mighty have fallen. Mr. Ringolsby, we had an e-mail exchange a couple of years ago regarding the inaccuracy of a a column you wrote. I mentioned I was a blogger and you proceeded to let me know that I didn't understand what it was like to write for a real publication. Anyway, have fun writing for your blog.
