Bad break for Jamey Carroll

Former Rockies infielder Jamey Carroll began the season on the Indians’ disabled list after breaking a bone in his left hand. The injury occurred on Carroll’s final spring at-bat Saturday when he was hit with a pitch thrown by Houston’s Doug Brocail, who is from Lamar, Co., in an exhibition game at Minute Maid Park.
