–The four innings Aaron Cook lasted gave him a franchise-best 942 innings in his career, one more than Jason Jennings threw with the Rockies.
–Brad Hawpe’s first triple of the season gave him eight hits, seven for extra-bases. Hawpe also has five doubles and one homer.
–The Rockies struck out nine times, giving them 48 strikeouts in four games on this road trip and six games, out of a total of 10, with at least nine strikeouts.
–Ryan Spilborghs, who left the game on a double-switch in the fifth, went hitless in three at-bats with two strikeouts. He has 14 strikeouts in 41 at-bats this year _ in 2008, Spilborghs struck out 45 times in 264 at-bats _ and in his past five games, Spilborghs is 3-for-23.
–In two games against the Dodgers, left-hander Alan Embree has allowed two hits and four runs, three earned, and one walk in one-third of an inning. He has retired one of the five batters he has faced.
–The sacrifice flies by Todd Helton and Ian Stewart gave the Rockies four for the season and were the first since the fourth game of the season, the home opener at Coors Field, when Helton hit a sacrifice fly.
–A six-game hitting streak ended for Garrett Atkins, who went 0-for-4 with a walk.
–Omar Quintanilla pinch hit in the ninth and took a third strike with no out and runners on first and second. It was the third game and third at-bat of the season for Quintanilla, who last played one week ago and struck out pinch-hitting against Phillies starter Bret Myers.
–His first two homers of the season gave Manny Ramirez his 54th career multi-homer game, tying him for ninth all-time with Frank Robinson, and a total of 529 in his career. Ramirez went homerless in his first 36 at-bats of the season and had never homered against the Rockies. He became the 11th active player to have homered against all 30 major league clubs. Ramirez’s two RBI gave him 1,732 and tied him for 19th all-time with Honus Wagner.
–Matt Kemp singled on his final at-bat in the seventh and has hit safely in each of the Dodgers’ 12 games.
