–The Rockies are 3-8 in games started by Aaron Cook, who lost his second straight start

Carlos Lee came into the game 1-for-11 with no RBI against Cook but went 3-for-3 with a two-run homer in the sixth against him.

Troy Tulowitzki ended the eighth with a soft liner to shortstop, following consecutive singles by Brad Hawpe and Seth Smith. Tulowitzki is 3-for-41 (.073) with runners in scoring position.

–Opponents were 21-for-21 in stolen base attempts against catcher Yorvit Torrealba. But he threw out two runners trying to steal, including Michael Bourn, who leads the National League with 16 stolen bases, in the first.

Clint Barmes went 2-for-4 with a double is 8-for-17 with three doubles, a triple, three runs scored and one RBI in four games since interim manager Jim Tracy moved him to the second spot in the lineup.

Josh Fogg, who retired the side in order in the seventh, has made four scoreless appearances covering 5 1/3 innings since he rejoined the Rockies on May 25. During that stretch, Fogg has allowed one hit and has limited opponents to an average of .059 (1-for-17).

–Center fielder Dexter Fowler was not in the lineup for the first time since May 17. In his previous five games, Fowler had gone 3-for-19.

–The Astros, coming off a 2-4 road trip to Cincinnati and Pittsburgh, broke a four-game losing streak at Minute Maid Park where they had lost six of their past seven games. The Astros won two straight for the first time since May 13-14 when they beat the Rockies 15-11 and 5-3 at Coors Field.

Roy Oswalt is 7-1 with a 1.78 ERA in 10 career starts against the Rockies.
