Don’t get carried away with the talk about the end of the 300-win pitcher.
It may be a few years for No. 25 to arrive, but there will be others following Randy Johnson into the elite group.

300 wins throws people I think, because it’s so different from the paths hitters tend to follow along the way to their milestones. A hitter can start in the majors as a 20 yr old and play full time and still play a long career, whereas the similar pitcher has a greater tendency to be injured.
