Considering all the intricacies of the ballpark and just the opportunity to get to know the personnel would had to have greatly benefited Tracy. A bench coach constantly has to ask himself what would I do if I was the manager。 It is kind of a dress rehearsal. I would be curios to know what past Rockies coaches have to say about that theory.

Tracy has done a great job so far and the players seem way more motivated, much better gameday decisons are made and now the team is playing up to his capabilities. The cloud over Hurdle was also distracting the team and taking focus away from the team element and winning. So it makes perfect sense.

MLBRUMORS.COM is reporting the Rockies may acquire Ian Snell from Pit. This can’t be true, can it? He is not better than any of the 5 starters and probably not better than Morales or Fogg, both of whom can start games due to injury, etc. Plus, more importantly, it sounds to me like he has big attitude problems. I think it is great if the Rockies are looking around, but let’s be smart about it. Maybe if they take a flyer on him, low A prospect or something, it is low-risk, high-reward.

Jim Tracy did manage him in Pittsburgh. That doesn’t necessarily mean he wants him in Denver. sometimes we inthe media add 2 and 2 and get 5.
