I was at the game. DLR appeared to mix his speeds OK. I assume he was leaving the ball up over the plate. True?

His majority of his starts have been quality ones i.e. 6 innings and 3 runs or less I believe. But when he blows up, he blows up like last night. It's very frustrating as a fan to watch, I can only imagine what the players and coaches go through during the game. They are professionals, but I wonder if as a hitter they are affected mentally to try to press because they know they have to come through and get DLR a lead before he has one of his meltdowns.

I would say he gets 2-3 more starts because the rest of the staff has done so well of late (and he did too in last two outings) but then he gets moved to the bullpen. Who knows, maybe Tracy has seen enough and Fogg will be a spot starter and DLR will move to the bullpen or will be packaged in a trade.

Tuesday was disappointing regression after two strong starts. De La Rosa has not responded well in pressure spots. One pitch after the missed foul pop, he allowed a two-run triple, which seems to follow a pattern form him.

Morales was officially activated from the disabled list late last week and optioned to Colorado Springs. Morales struggled in his rehab starts, but was solid in starts with the Rockies earlier this season. Like De La Rosa, he maybe be better in the bullpen in the short term. Fogg would obviously be a temporary solution, although there is always the potential for the trade. As for what is down on the farm, the likely candidates at Triple A - Jason Hirsh and Brandon Hynick -- have been inconsistent. Help from the minors could be rushed from Double A where Jhoulys Chacin and Esmil Rogers have pitched well enough to at least earn consideration.

Steve,
Jorge De La Rosa has not shown as much improvement as people in the organization thought he would have coming into the beginning of the season. When does Jim Tracy pull him from the rotation and give Josh Fogg a chance or where has Franklin Morales been? Also, what are some possible replacements down in Colorado Springs that may be ready to come up to the club? I think De La Rosa is too shaky to consistantly come out every outing and be successful and his time now should be in the bullpen.
