—-The third-place Rockies are 7 1/2 games behind, the closest they have been to first place since they were 7 1/2 games back on May 12. The Rockies were a season-most 15 1/2 games behind on June 3, one day before they began a franchise-tying 11-game winning streak that has become a 20-3 surge.

–Ubaldo Jimenez, who will start Monday at Los Angeles, is 0-3 with a 10.20 ERA in three starts against the Dodgers and 6-4 with a 2.66 ERA against everyone else.
–Brad Hawpe went 0-for-5 and matched his career-high with four strikeouts. It’s the third time Hawpe has struck out four times in a game, something he last did April 17, 2008 at San Diego.
–Dexter Fowler went 0-for-5 with four strikeouts, matching his career-high. He also struck out four times June 10 at Milwaukee. Fowler is 1-for-15 in his past four games.
–Seth Smith’s run-scoring double in the second gave him a career-high six-game hitting streak. Smith, who has hit safely in 13 of his past 18 games, had matched his career best for the third time by hitting safely in five consecutive games.
–Carlos Gonzalez, who didn’t play in the first game of the A’s series, went 4-for-7 with a double, triple, two walks, two runs scored and one RBI in the final two games against the team that traded him to the Rockies. Gonzalez has consecutive multi-hit games for the first time with the Rockies.
–Ian Stewart went 2-for-4 after going 2-for-23 in his previous six games.
–The Rockies finished interleague play 11-4, matching their most interleague wins in a season. They also went 11-4 in 2006.
–With two games remaining in June, the Rockies have tied the franchise record for the most wins in a month. They are 20-6 this month and went 20-7 in September 2007. With their 20 wins this month, the Rockies have matched the most wins in a month by any club in the majors this season. The Dodgers and Rangers both went 20-9 in May.
–The Rockies never trailed in the three games against the A’s and won each game by two runs.

That’s an interesting stat about Ubaldo. I hope he can keep his pitch count down and not try too hard for the strike out if I remember right hes done a little bette. This year getting people to get themselves out and keeping his
pitch count down early to go the distance. Plus hopefully he can go 9 innings to give Street a well deserved day off.
Looking at it another way, the Rox have won 20 of 23. Before that they won 20 of 52! This whole thing seems rediculous…but I’m lovin’ it!
That is one thing that has been great about this run, it has not been like everyone has been clicking at the same time. Each player is still going through their ups and downs, but the team is finding a way to win.
