Right-handed pitcher Brandon Hynick add a touch of perfection to his recent surge.

Hynick pitched a seven-inning perfect game for Triple-A Colorado Springs on Tuesdeay night, beating Portland 2-0. The game was reduced to seven innings because earlier in the evening Portland finished off a 10-8 victory against the Sky Sox that had been suspended on Monday night.

Hynick is 7-5 with a 3.50 ERA overall, including going 5-2 with a 2.20 ERA in his last nine starts.

He threw 88 pitches, 60 for strikes, and struck out six in the perfect effort against Portland, San Diego’s Triple-A affiliate.

Jonathan Herrera singled home one run for the SkySox and scored the other on a sacrifice fly from Mike McCoy.

Herrera actually walked with the bases loaded to bring home the second run in the bottom of the sixth inning.
