Three members of the Rockies Triple-A affiliate at Colorado Springs are on the Pacific Coast League All-Star team.

Second baseman Eric Young, Jr., and outfielders Matt Murton and Matt Miller are among 28 PCL players who will take on the International League All-Stars in the 22nd annual Triple-A All-Star Game. It will be played July 15 in Portland, and shown on ESPN2.

Murton, who spent a month with the Rockies earlier this season, is hitting .377 with nine home runs and 43 RBI. Miller is seventh in the PCL with a .324 average and ranks third in RBI (63), hits (96) and doubles (25). He has hit five home runs.

Young leads the PCL with 46 stolen bases and 68 runs scored. He is hitting .292 with three home runs and 21 RBI. His father, former Rockies second baseman Eric Young, will be an ESPN analyst for the game.

    Tracy,

Eric Young Jr. seems like he is on the verge of being a major leaguer. He keeps putting up stats at each level. What kind of defensive player is he? Is he better than Barmes?

Will he compete in spring training next season for the 2B job, does he have a legit shot?
