Pitching In

October 3, 2009 | 10:44 am | 7

Impressive stats. Really shows how strong the entire rotation has been this year.

Quick aside, Cook has two 2009 seasons listed under ERA. I’m assuming the 3.96 is from last year.

Is there any news on who will be the odd man out of the playoff pitching rotation?

    Jeff,

You are correct _ Cook’s ERA in 2008 was 3.96 ERA

    N Wagner -

I believe it’ll be Jason Hammel. My best bet is he’ll be replacing Josh Fogg on the 25 man roster as the long relief guy.

How come Marvin Freeman never makes this list? Wasn’t his ERA 2.90 in the strike-shortened year?

Isn’t it too early to decide on whose out of the playoff rotation? It depends on De La Rosa’s health.

Jeff, Marvin didn’t pitch the required innings to qualify for an ERA title that year.
