There are reports of what’s going on with other teams involving folks with Rockies ties.
Clint Hurdle has surfaced as a candidate for the Texas hitting coach job.
Mets have interest in Yorvit Torrealba, again. Of course it was the Mets who claimed they wanted Torrealba last time he was a free agent, offered him a multi-year deal and then backed out after his physical. That’s what led to his return to the Rockies.
I am not a Torrealba fan, but it is too bad he failed that physical. Why? What was wrong?
I think it was unexplained, and I think it might have just been Torrealba nixing the deal.
why would torrealba nix the deal? i’m pretty sure he was set to make a lot more money than he did with the rockies.
ProgMatinee, you are right. The Mets nixed the deal apparently after the physical showed somethings Mets didn’t like. Laws, however, prevent teams from discussing medical issues publicly/
