Good luck Clint – you’ll do OK as long as you don’t have to make pitching decisions!

Good luck Clint. You are one of the classiest guys in all of professional sports. I was hoping you would become a member of the KOA play by play crew or the Fox Sports Rockies crew because you are fun to listen to.

The best of luck, Clint. You’ll have some good hitters to work with down there in Texas.

I’m a Rockies fan who has recently relocated to Dallas. Granted, baseball isn’t exactly the biggest sport here, but there’s a small amount of rumbling on local radio that this is a major pressure move for current Rangers manager Ron Washington.

Washington did indeed have a good year – but the Rangers collapsed in September and could not compete with the Red Sox or Angels for playoff contention. It’s been a long time since this team has seen postseason action, and Washington is on a pretty big hot seat with fans around here.

Hurdle, despite what the Rockies didn’t do under him in 2008/2009, is still a manager who’s been in the World Series. Not too many managers can speak for that.

The Rangers organization hasn’t even won a playoff series.

Not saying that this will happen, but I would not be surprised if it’s Clint Hurdle, not Ron Washington, managing the Rangers at the end of 2010.

This is off topic I know, but NY wins the WS…and the baseball sky is cloudy again. Ugghhh….

Interesting perspective there Brian H. You might be prophetic there. Hope that the Rangers do well with Hurdle and Washington, but maybe there needs to be more focus on the pitching there. I thought it had turned around in the first half, but seemed to fall off at the end.
