Right-handed pitchers Matt Herges, Josh Fogg and Jose Contreras, and left-handed pitcher Joe Beimel were among 31 players who filed on Monday.

Earlier, right-handed pitcher Jason Marquis, left-handed pitcher Alan Embree, catcher Yorvit Torrealba, and first baseman/DH Jason Giambi filed earlier.

151 players have filed for free agency in the first five days of the 15-day filing period.
