Minnesota added Juan Morillo to its 40-man roster. That is believed to be an indication that the Twins plan to sell Morillo’s contract to the Hanshin Tigers.

If the Twins did not protect Morillo he could delcare free agency, and sign with a Japanese team at no extra expense to the signing team.

Hopefully Japan is a good fit for Morillo. In my opinion he is just one more prospect who never found the ability to take 2-3 MPH off the fastball and find location. 96 MPH is still hard.

He reminds me a bit of Franklin Morales. Hopefully he’ll find his own.
