O’Dowds extension should be announced real soon. Don’t think they wanted to do both on the same day. From talking with O’Dowd and other GMs it is apparent that O’Dowd is staying. He’s working on things for the coming season, moving along. To O’Dowd the priority was taking care of Tracy’s situation and the coaches.

Tracy – any word on O’Dowd getting an extension yet?

After coming from so far behind to win a playoff berth and a great record, one has to worry that the Rox might start off cocky next year, resulting in another atrocious start to the season. A real test of Tracy’s managing acumen will be whether or not he can get the team to start strong and stay that way. Just think how things might’ve turned out had we won, say, 5 more games in April and May: we would have won the division and perhaps faced a different sequence of teams in the playoffs.

Congrats to Jim Tracy for a well deserved accolade. Is it next season yet?

Great news all around! I know Baylor took some flak from some fans (I thought he did a good job), and I’m happy to see him coming back as well.
