Corpas’ hamstring injury minor; Baker misses bullpen
TUCSON — Reliever Manuel Corpas will throw a bullpen session Monday as scheduled and take part in other drills but won’t do any running as his right hamstring, which he tweaked Saturday, heals. Manager Jim Tracy termed the injury as “nothing major” and said trainer Keith Dugger was reluctant to “even call it a strain.”
Corpas, who wasn’t scheduled to throw Sunday, participated in all drills with his work group. He was injured while crouching to get in position during a fielding drill.
Reliever Craig Baker was held back from his bullpen session Sunday after overdoing it in a slug-bunt drill and coming up with side soreness. Tracy said Baker, a closer at high Class A Modesto last year who is in his first major league camp, wanted to throw his second bullpen session as scheduled but was held back as a precaution. Tracy said Baker could throw a bullpen session Monday, depending on how he feels in the morning.

This is the time of year when you hear the word “precaution” a lot. Can’t wait for the snow to go away and for the real season to start.
