Young pitchers to work intrasquad game

TUCSON — Twelve pitchers, including just one with big league experience, will combine to pitch eight innings Monday for two teams in a Colorado Rockies intrasquad game.

The pitchers scheduled to work are: Samuel Deduno, Chaz Roe, Juan Nicasio, Christian Friedrich, Al Alburquerque, Edgmer Escalona, Shane Lindsay, Craig Baker, Andrew Johnston, Jimmy Gobble, Matt Reynolds and Andrew Graham. Gobble is the only one of the group who has pitched in the majors.

    Agreed….this is a talented group of youngsters!!

    An inside source tells me that some of these youngins threw some good BP against some of the everday position players last week!!
