Watching this spring season unfold — especially regarding the pitching staff — is painful. Lots of other parts seem to be going right, but the guys on the mound seem to be the weak link. On their physical soundness, not their willingness. How the heck do you get to this point — that after pitching since Little League you are somehow injured on the cusp of a new season in the bigs. Without pitching, all the other Rockies’ positives won’t work.

Pitching staff health is always one of those dicey things. Even with Cook’s injury, the Rockies were fortunate in how healthy their staff was last season. You just hppe you have enough depth.
Who’s been having physical trouble so far besides Street–Betancourt and Belisle? I hope there aren’t more. The Rockies have decent depth, but you don’t want to push your luck.
Morales and Corpas have been struggling as well. Spring has not been favorable to the bull-pen.
