Rogers allows one hit in return to Sky Sox
Esmil Rogers returned to the starting rotation Monday at Triple-A Colorado Springs after spending most of the first two weeks of the season in the Colorado Rockies bullpen. He allowed one hit in five innings and struck out four.
At Double-A Tulsa, Christian Friedrich had another strong start allowing one run and striking out eight in five innings. Friedrich has allowed just one run in two of his starts but has yet to pick up a win this season.
At Single-A Modesto, Ethan Hollingsworth, a 2008 fourth-round pick, dominated for a second consecutive start allowing three hits, a walk and a run in seven innings. He struck out nine. In his previous start, Hollingsworth allowed just three hits in seven shutout innings.
