Quintanilla out 4-6 weeks with elbow injury

Triple-A Colorado Springs infielder Omar Quintanilla underwent arthroscopic surgery Monday to remove loose bodies from his right elbow and will be out four to six weeks.

Since the Sky Sox end their season Sept. 6 — and at 48-61 aren’t likely to make the playoffs — Quintanilla may be out the balance of the year.

Quintanilla sprained his left knee in spring training, and missed the first two months of the season. In 34 games for the Sky Sox, Quintanilla is hitting .252 (30-for-119) with seven doubles, one triple, one homer and 15 RBI.
