Relievers Bruce Billings and Rex Brothers are the Colorado Rockies prospects named to play in the Arizona Fall League’s annual Rising Stars all-star game on Saturday night in Surprise, Ariz.

Billings and Brothers, members of the Scottsdale Scorpions, will play for the East Division All-Stars. Through games of Monday, Billings, who was moved from the rotation to the bullpen this year at Double-A Tulsa, is 0-1 with a 3.60 ERA in four games, the past three scoreless.

Brothers, a left-hander who pitched at high Class A Modesto and Tulsa this year, is 1-0 with a 5.14 ERA in six games with two walks and 12 strikeouts in seven innings. He has allowed one run in five innings in his past four outings.

Other members of the Rockies organization playing in the fall league include reliever Adam Jorgenson, starter Greg Reynolds, catcher Jordan Pacheco, shortstop Thomas Field and center fielder Charlie Blackmon.

Blackmon is hitting .316 with three homers and six RBI in 11 games and just one strikeout in 38 at-bats. He began play 0-for-11 but has since gone 12-for-27.

Pacheco is hitting .400 with seven RBI. Jorgenson is 0-0 with a 3.38 ERA in six games. Reynolds is 0-4 with a 7.50 ERA in four starts.

Field is hitting .114 but after going 0-for-23 with nine strikeouts, he has gone 3-for-12 with five strikeouts. Having played at the high Class A level this year, Field is one of the less-experienced players in the fall league.
