Francis adjusting to AL
Stan McNeal at The Sporting News writes that former Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Jeff Francis will have to make adjustments to a new league, specifically not getting to face a pitcher each time around the lineup. But the first order of business for Francis is staying healthy. Read the full story here.

I was quite disappointed the Rocks did not make a bigger effort to sign Francis. His 2010 season was almost predictable with the arm problems he experienced. I’m guessing he is back to being the type of pitcher we saw in 2007. Wouldn’t that look good at 3 or 4 in the Rockies rotation?
Trip,
There was an excellent story explaining exactly why Francis is not a Rockie. It was on Fox Sports but I’m not sure if Tracy Ringolsby wrote the piece. I did post on here asking if it would be possible to reference the story on this site.
I missed that story and your post about it, Mike. Feel free to post a link in the comment threads.
Another story here about Francis.
NP Steve. I have looked for the story but can’t find it. Usually they post an author put for some reason none listed. That’s why I wasn’t sure if Mr. Ringolsby wrote it or not.
If I find it I wiull send you the link.
