Rogers available in bullpen
According to the Colorado Rockies Twitter feed, manager Jim Tracy has said that Esmil Rogers will be available in the bullpen for the Pittsburgh Pirates series.
Before Wednesday’s rainout against the Chicago Cubs, Rogers was in line to start Sunday against the Pirates. With the starting rotation juggled for the Pirates series and Jorge De La Rosa likely to start the series opener Tuesday against Arizona Diamondbacks — starting De La Rosa Tuesday would make him available for the final game a three-game series in San Francisco — Rogers is currently in line to pitch Wednesday. But with the day off Monday, Rogers could be pushed back as far as May 7 against the San Francisco Giants.
Update: Rogers will be pushed back to may. De La Rosa, Chacin and Hammel will start against Arizona; Jimenez, Rogers and De La Rosa will likely start against San Francisco.
