First baseman Mike Jacobs and designated hitter Mike Paulk each had two hits. Catcher Eliezer Alfonzo was 1-for-4 with a two-run home run. Right fielder Cole Garner was 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Center fielder Dexter Fowler and Ian Stewart were each 0-for-3. Starting pitcher Edgar Gonzalez allowed three runs (two earned) in five innings.
