It’s good to see Reynolds with a strong start because he is likely to be inserted in the Rockies’ starting lineup very soon (in place of Cook or Nicasio?) I wish we had another starter in the minor leagues ready for major league action, but I’m not sure that we do. (How close is Rogers?) DOD needs to find the team a fill in starter, but do it without mortgaging the future.
Wheeler keeps raking. With the injury to Blackmon and Garner likely getting called up, might Wheeler get moved up to AAA?
BaseballAmerica.com has Rockies’ prospects in it’s mid-season Top 50 list. Check it out. As for this ITR post, remember the name Edwar Cabrera and Corey Dickerson. Those guys can play. With Tim Wheeler, be patient!!!!! No more rushing guys not yet ready. As for Greg Reynolds, great start. He’s still no more than a no. 5 starter, at best.
Surprising for me at least but a huge jump for Wheeler this year, however the really high strikeouts remain a big concern going forward.
