Solid lineup I would like to see Stewart come up big tonight

5 things that I would like to see tonight:

    1. Stewart: multi-hit game
    2. Hammel: 6+ IP and 2 ER or less
    3. Fowler: steal a bag
    4. Tracy + team: hit and run successfully
    5. Team: score 100% of the time with RISP and 0 outs

Make positive strides, however small they are.

    Go Rox

    I LIKE IT!!!!!!! HAVE A DAY E.Y.!!

Pooter you are consistent. From here out it must be “PY” – Pooter is a member of the Young family. Let’s see if this lineup can get 3 runs at SD. Like the speed at top, but let’s see if they can get on.

Hammel makes me really really nervous. Could be an early night for me if he doesn’t show some fight.

    Nice outing for Hammel.

4 pitchers in 1 inning, no runs scored. First time I ever seen that.

Matt G, sounds like you had a good list, and the list has been in large part accomplished. Good to see Hammel have a good outing (I still wonder if that was an audition for another club). Nice to see Stewart and Ianetta get key RBIs.

So just wondering, with the Giants getting Beltran and Atlanta so far missing on all trades and having their best hitter (McCann, which also impacts their pitching), does it make sense, even though we are 12 back in WC vs. 11.5 in the West, should we focus on the WC? After the Braves, it is the DBacks in 2nd place in the WC, and they are only 8 back of the DBacks who I still expect (after a really good first 100 games) to revert towards what they were expected to be in ST, more of a .450 team). Just holding out hope, as you expect from me.

Has anyone noticed Stewart is back to his old batting stance?

  • Doctor_Christopher | July 29, 2011 | 11:03 pm

Having to listen to the game tonight Egossage, but that is interesting. And disappointing, becuase his old stance was not working to put it bluntly.

One down, nice K by Street. Two more to go.

  • Doctor_Christopher | July 29, 2011 | 11:07 pm

Argh!!! Again, two strikes for Street and he gives up the double, hanging slider. I really do hate it with non-rookies when pitchers up 0-2 throw and obvious ball, which then changes the equasion.

Come on Streeter…have to get Hudsom right here.

  • Doctor_Christopher | July 29, 2011 | 11:09 pm

Whoo Hoo!!!! Nice defense Steeter. A two game winning streak on teh road!!!! Two more on this trip and we can go back to Coors with some momentum.

  • Matt G | July 29, 2011 | 11:11 pm

    2 in a row – that’s called a winning streak

  • Eric W. | July 29, 2011 | 11:19 pm

I know that one! Haha lets make it a sweep!

  • rockymountainhigh | July 30, 2011 | 12:24 am

A sweep will never happen since the rubber game is on a Sunday which virtually a guaranteed loss.

  • Doctor_Christopher | July 30, 2011 | 3:56 am

Okay, time for me trot out my answer from two weeks ago….eventually the Rockies have to win on Sunday, its just the law of averages. The Mariners finally beat the Yankees afterall.

But if Tracy trots out that same bad lineup (less Giambi since he is on the DL) this Sunday I think i will sit on the corner of I-25, beg for enough money to buy a single share of the Rox, and demand that Tracy at least be banned from weekend line-up decisions!
