Rockies reinstate White, place Escalona on DL
The Colorado Rockies have reinstated right-handed pitcher Alex White from the 60-day disabled list. To make room, the Rockies placed right-hander Edgmer Esaclona on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right rotator cuff and transferred Juan Nicasio to the 60-day list.
White, who has been on the disabled list since May with a strained ligament in the middle finger of his pitching hand , will make his first start with the Colorado Rockies Tuesday.
