Rockies place Hammel on paternity leave, recall Roenicke
The Colorado Rockies have placed right-handed pitcher Jason Hammel on paternity leave and recalled right-hander Josh Roenicke from Triple-A Colorado Springs.
Hammel left the team Tuesday to join his wife for the birth of their first child.
Hammel’s wife is hopeing the focused Hammel is available for the birth unlike the unfocused Hammel we have seen since May. I last heard he was in a daze somewhere in the parking lot by the hospital. Good Luck Mrs. Hammel I hope the baby took after you!!!
