Gardner picks up second win backed by Arenado
Nolan Arenado was 2-for-5 with his second solo home run in as many games and Joe Gardner pitched three solid innings in a 6-2 Salt River win Wednesday.
Gardner allowed one run on two hits to pick up his second win. Relievers Casey Weathers and Rob Scahill each pitched a scoreless inning.
Ben Paulsen was 1-for-5.
Nooooooolannnnn! I am now an Occupy Rockies protester with the picket sign saying give Arenado a shot in spring training. That will give Stewart and Pacheco more incentive to do better to hold up their positions on the 3B totem pole.
