Drew Pomeranz arrested

Troy Renck’s tweet – “Pomeranz was arrested by the Oxford Police Dept at 1:25 this morning and was charged with disturbing the peace.”  Rox are aware of this situation as of now, statement to be released.
Hope it’s not the result of any behaviors after taking steroids.  Hopefully just a little too much imbibing situation.

Arenado drives in five runs, ties Wheeler for AFL lead

Nolan Arenado was 3-for-4 with five RBI and a run scored in Salt River’s 10-5 win Wednesday. Arenado, who is tied with teammate Tim Wheeler for the team and league lead in RBI with nine, drove in the first two runs of the game with an RBI single and added two more RBI singles and a sacrifice fly.

Rockies claim Brown off waivers from Cardinals

Andrew Brown — a 27-year-old right-handed hitter who has played the corner infield and outfield position in the minors — hit .284 with 20 home runs and 73 RBI and as a Pacific Coast League All-Star at Memphis in 2011.

Tim Wheeler homered for the first time in the Arizona Fall League, going 2-for-6 with a sixth-inning grand slam that put Salt River up for good in a 13-6 win Monday.

Rockies outright 6 players; Kouzmanoff elects free agency

The Colorado Rockies have outrighted six players off the 40-man roster, including former first-round pick Greg Reynolds and infielder Kevin Kouzmanoff. Also being sent out were right-handed pitchers Jim Miller, Matt Daley and Cory Riordan and catcher Jose Morales.

Center fielder Tim Wheeler nearly duplicated his line from the Arizona Fall League opener, going 2-for-5 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in the Salt River Rafters’ 13-7 loss Wednesday. Wheeler also stole a base.
