In lieu of final Farm Report from Inside The Rockies before we move on to new things, we thought we would offer up this discussion piece to everyone on what the Colorado Rockies will look like in 2014.
Baseball America and Jack Etkin released their 2012 list of the top 10 Colorado Rockies prospects. The list has seen significant changes since 2011, when it was topped by left-hander Tyler Matzek and included Christian Friedrich, Peter Tago and Hector Gomez, all of whom have fallen out of the top 10 in 2012.
Colorado Rockies third base prospect Nolan Arenado was named the MVP of the Arizona Fall League following the Salt River Rafters’ 9-3 win in the championship game Saturday.
Nolan Arenado was 2-for-5 with his second solo home run in as many games and Joe Gardner pitched three solid innings in a 6-2 Salt River win Wednesday.
Nolan Arenado was 2-for-4 with solo home run in a 4-3 Salt River win Tuesday. It was the third home run and league-leading 21st RBI for Arenado, who is hitting .377 and has failed to produce a hit in just one of his 14 games.

Joe Gardner allowed two hits, walked two and struck out four in three shutout innings Thursday to pick up his first Arizona Fall League win in a 7-2 Salt River win. In was the third start of the fall for Gardner, who is 1-0 with a 3.86 ERA in seven innings.
Nolan Arenado was 4-for-5 with his second home run in as many games and drove in four, pushing his Arizona Fall League-leading total to 19 in a 12-9 Salt River win Tuesday.
Nolan Arenado was 3-for-4 with five RBI and a run scored in Salt River’s 10-5 win Wednesday. Arenado, who is tied with teammate Tim Wheeler for the team and league lead in RBI with nine, drove in the first two runs of the game with an RBI single and added two more RBI singles and a sacrifice fly.
Tim Wheeler homered for the first time in the Arizona Fall League, going 2-for-6 with a sixth-inning grand slam that put Salt River up for good in a 13-6 win Monday.
Colorado Rockies prospects Tim Wheeler, Nolan Arenado and Ben Paulsen each had two hits for the Salt River Rafters, who won their Arizona Fall League opener, 12-9.

High Class-A Modesto’s season game to end with a 10-4 loss in the first round of the California League playoffs, and short-season Tri-City lost the first game of the Northwest League Championship Series.
Starting pitcher Chad Bettis allowed six hits, walked three and struck out nine in 6 2/3 innings to help the Nuts win the second game of their playoff series. Bettis wasn’t involved in the decision, though, when the Nuts broke a scoreless tie after he exited.
