Two things that are inconsequential to Scott Beerer, a converted pitcher who is now an outfielder in the Colorado Rockies organization, at this point are whether he profiles as a prospect and the hindrance that might be his age.

Ryan Spilborghs had another big night on his rehab assignment at Colorado Springs, going 3-for-4 in a 23-11 Sky Sox loss. Spilborghs is 9-for-16 so far on his four-game rehab.

Tulsa starter Christian Friedrich rebounded from a pair of rough starts and took a no-hitter one out into the sixth inning. Friedrich allowed just one hit and four walks and struck out seven in six shutout innings. He was not involved in the decision as the Drillers’ bullpen allowed three runs.
