The Colorado Rockies have recalled infielder Thomas Field, who spent the season at Double-A Tulsa and will start at shortstop Sunday, add added starting pitcher Drew Pomeranz to the active roster. Catcher Matt Pagnozzi was designated for assignment and outfielder Ryan Spilborghs moved to the 60-day disabled list to make room.

It was the third consecutive start and fourth in his past five that Matzek pitched seven innings. In August, Matzek is 3-1 with a 2.65 ERA, 15 walks and 42 strikeouts in 34 innings.
